I’ll admit, it’s been a few months. How time flies when you are busy !
Here in our Île-de-France region, the rentrée passed by and the ‘er months are getting nice and cold (aka my favorite time of year).
Just wanted to share some news with you: I recently wrote a book some traveling advice for Paris, it was published on Amazon and also on this website, the publishing company. I am proud of this, it’s part of a series of books written by other people about travel advice for various places around the world.
This September marked year five since I moved to France, and boy oh boy! What an adventure. It also means that I can ask for French citizenship, they allow you to submit the request if you’ve been living in France for five years nonstop, which has been my case. Living in another country always has its ups and downs, but it’s really challenged me and brought out the most determined part of me. During lockdown, being away from my family and friends, telling me that I needed to want to live in France as much I want to breathe oxygen (that’s how bad you need to want it), it was rough but unforgettable. Luckily I was surrounded by great people and I had a huge support system with me.
I reflect on my life today and I am amazed. Never would have my 18-year-old or 20-year-old self would have thought that I moved to France, and to my dream city! Always think of how much much you have accomplished. Truly nothing is impossible if you are open and determined enough.
More to share on the nationality process.
